A small town in the Middle Ages, Blieux was established on a rocky spur on the right bank of the Asse. The village is surrounded by a cirque of mountains, including Mont Chiran, where an astronomical observatory is located.

Description

Blieux, in the heart of the Verdon Regional Natural Park and the Haute-Provence Geological Reserve, is a paradise for hikers, lovers of wide open spaces and stars.

Surrounded by spectacular peaks, such as Mourre de Chanier and Mont Chiran (1 m), the village offers exceptional panoramas of Provence and the Alps.
Its perched astronomical observatory, open to the public, reveals the secrets of the sky during unforgettable evenings.

Between mule tracks, pastoral meadows, medieval remains and tufa bridges, Blieux combines heritage, nature and contemplation in a preserved setting.
