This fountain is part of the "1937 group". This name comes from the fact that four fountains were built almost simultaneously in the outlying streets of the city center.
Description
The plot of land belonged to Mr. Eugène Banon, a masonry contractor. It was intended to serve as a watering hole and drinking trough.
It is a rectangular fountain. Its cylindrical column reproduces a severed tree trunk and branches. The cannon is made of concrete.
The decoration is a tangle of tree trunks and branches. The wood, a symbol, is used to replicate the mountain fountains that were built from larch wood. The style is new compared to the classic construction.
