Description
Located 6 km from the village of Colmars-les-Alpes, the Ratery 1700 Nordic area is a very complete Nordic area, with trails laid out under the larch trees.
The snow is of excellent quality thanks to its north-facing aspect and its altitude: 1685 m – 1800 m.
The Ratery area guarantees a winter atmosphere, to be discovered on snowshoes or by gliding on beautiful snowy slopes.
* Ratery 1700 Reception Chalet
The reception chalet is a warm and welcoming place! Come and enjoy a hot chocolate in the tea room or recharge and have a meal by the fire.
The food is homemade, seasonal, local, and organic as much as possible. A games bar is also available in the afternoon.
You will also find equipment rental (skis, snowshoes, sleds) and ski pass sales on site.
Bring change or your checkbook, as credit cards are not accepted.

Four cross-country ski trails for all levels await you on 20 km of marked tracks. You will glide under the larch trees and on snow that is always of excellent quality thanks to the north-facing aspect and the altitude of around 1700 m.
* Snowshoe trail
You have the choice between two hikes from the welcome chalet for beautiful snowshoe hikes on groomed and marked trails.
One route is ideal for families, taking place in the heart of the forest to discover the winter environment. The other, slightly longer route offers a Nordic adventure in the forest.

Around the reception chalet, there is a tobogganing area, as well as numerous activities such as moonlight outings, themed evenings, and even igloo building…
* To get here and get around
It should be noted that the Col d'Allos and the Col des Champs are closed during the winter period.
In winter, the road to the Col des Champs becomes the cross-country ski trail of the Ratery 1700 Nordic area.
