An easy walk in Ongles between the medieval village, the landscapes of Lure and the history of the forestry hamlet. A route punctuated with audio testimonies about the history, geology, life in bygone days and the inhabitants.
Description
Here you will discover the history of the commune of Ongles, from the Middle Ages to the present day. You will first visit the heart of the abandoned medieval village of Vière. After a walk through this magnificent Provençal landscape, at the foot of the Lure mountain, you can then explore the forestry hamlet, still steeped in a unique history: that of the Harkis who were welcomed here after the Algerian War. Finally, the path will lead you to the village of Ongles, through its narrow streets, to discover its past, its monuments, and its inhabitants.
