Guillaume Mary, a passionate fishing and whitewater guide, takes you to meet the brown trout, in the magnificent and preserved setting of the Ubaye Serre-Ponçon Valley.
Description
On foot or aboard a canoe, packraft or raft, set off to discover fly fishing in wild and unspoiled nature!
The river has punctuated my life for 25 years now. I first discovered its waters by kayak and raft, before gradually becoming fascinated by the aquatic world it shelters. My encounter with Dame Fario marked the beginning of a new and great passion.
Fly fishing has emerged as the most elegant way to catch this wild fish. Beyond the beauty of the gesture, this technique carries a strong ethic: that of respecting the fish and seeing it return in great shape upon its release.
Since then, I have enjoyed combining these two passions which, when the conditions are right, come into perfect harmony. And when it all ends with a bivouac under the stars, it reaches perfection. It is this atmosphere, these rare moments, that I would like to share with you... but not only that.
The quest for these wild fish, in the mountains, is worth the detour in itself: livelier and more active than in the plains, they live in grandiose landscapes where you often feel like you are the first to pass by.
Finally, the high-altitude lakes will complete this adventure. I will take you there in the fall, with the famous colors and the atmosphere that goes with it and of course I hope in bivouac mode to enjoy spectacular starry skies!
