Climb up to the Notre-Dame du Roc chapel by walking along the ramparts of Castellane.
Description
From the Tourist Office, go up Boulevard Saint-Michel towards Digne. Take the first street on the right (direction emergency center). Follow the path along the ramparts, direction “Chapelle du Roc”.
La montée se fait progressivement vers la chapelle avec une vue sur Castellane depuis les jardins de la Tour Pentagonale. De nombreux bancs jalonnent l'itinéraire.
Une vue imprenable sur Castellane et la vallée vous attendent au sommet. Deux tables d'orientation vous permettront de repérer les sommets qui vous entourent.
The Notre-Dame du Roc chapel, decorated with ex-votos, normally open day and night, is exceptionally closed this summer for renovations.
