Itinerary offering remarkable views of the village of La Palud and the surrounding mountains as well as the Grand Canyon. This is the only path that provides access to the highest viewpoint, above the Gorges du Verdon.
Description
Leave the D23 and head towards the shuttle parking lot. Pass the car park and take the path on the right. The climb is initially gradual under a cover of Scots pines then becomes steeper until reaching the Route des Crêtes.
We then follow the road to reach the Dent d'Aire lookout, one of the most beautiful in the Canyon. From the lookout, it is recommended to continue the path to a promontory overlooking the Grand Canyon.
This path is a very old access route to the Gorges, it allowed you to reach the Guègues farm.
The return is made by the same path.
