A walk offering upon arrival a very pretty view of the upper Verdon valley in the middle of spacious meadows
Description
This hike, at the highest point, opens onto a panorama offering you a wide view of the upper Verdon valley.
Groves of larches, pines and local pastoral life (pastures of cows and sheep) welcome you at the foot of the hamlet where a few houses still remain today.
There is plenty of space for picnic breaks once you arrive.
Several departures allow you to access the hamlet and the Montgros plateau:
- from the Baumelle car park. This option is particularly popular with families, located between Val d'Allos - Le Village and Val d'Allos - La Foux (allow 3 hours of walking and 350m of elevation gain)
- from the Val d'Allos tourist office - Le Village, at the foot of the track leading to Bouchier, for a slightly more sporty climb which will reach the plateau in a slightly shorter distance (3h30 walk and 350m elevation gain)
