What if you could observe the Sun in a big way, live and in complete safety? A new session to explore our star in a different way.

Description

Accompanied by our science communicators, participants observe, describe, compare, and formulate their hypotheses. The session alternates between guided discoveries, experiments, models, and small challenges to enjoy as a family.

Two workshops then offer a deeper understanding of the Sun: its temperature, its different layers, the phenomena that animate it, and also the richness of its light. The public discovers its spectrum live, a simple and spectacular way to understand that white light contains a wealth of information.
The session continues outdoors with solar observation using the LUNT 152mm telescope, specially designed for safe Sun observation. Further fun workshops then place our star within the Solar System, and then within our Galaxy, among other stars.

A lively, accessible and spectacular animation to learn by observing, manipulating and marveling.
In case of adverse weather, a replacement program is planned.

All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Our canine friends are not allowed on site.
