For those who love water, canyoning is a fun activity that takes place by going down the rivers and torrents of the Ubaye.
Description
The Costeplane and Blache waterfalls are the benchmark here in Ubaye.
Two routes are offered depending on the desired sensations.
The introductory descent lasts approximately 2 hours to 2 hours in the river. It is a very progressive route accessible to everyone from 30 years old. We start with small waterfalls of 14 or 5 meters to familiarize ourselves with rope techniques and then move on to increasingly impressive descents which end with a 6-meter abseil. The descents are flexible depending on the groups with a choice of big showers or less wet passages depending on the wishes of each person.
The expert canyoning course is the continuation of the introductory section, which adds 1 hours of descent to make a final route of around 30 hours. The setting is much more impressive with a continuation nestled between two cliffs.
It is reserved for those who want to experience strong sensations: more water (a second stream is added to double the volume), more height (waterfalls up to 25 meters) and a climb via a via ferrata just above the Ubaye.
