Our local guides and Pascale, your host, will prepare a unique trip for you in these southern mountains.
History, heritage, wildlife, and sunshine await you for a complete change of scenery. The quality of the snow, from December to March, is ideal for this snowshoe trip.

This stay offers moderate-level snowshoe hikes, suitable for anyone in good physical condition.
With gentle relief, it offers a pleasant and accessible discovery of snowshoeing in the mid-mountains.

Intermediate Level - Accompanied

DAY 1: YOUR ARRIVAL AT THE HOTEL LE VIEUX TILLEUL
You are expected at the Vieux Tilleul hotel which is located at the exit of the village of Seyne les Alpes.
Reception will be from 16 p.m. on Sunday.
If you arrive by train, meet at GAP station at 17 p.m.
A welcome drink in the presence of your host, Pascale, will take place at 19 p.m.

DAY 2: THE SUMMIT OF THE AGNELIERS
This beautiful snowshoe hike is a remarkable introduction to the experience, thanks to the diversity of landscapes encountered along this loop. Gentle terrain, coniferous forests, endless mountain pastures, and ravines carved by erosion reveal the unique landscapes of Alpine valleys.

Elevation gain: approximately 400 m
Walking time: 5 hours
Maximum altitude: 1850 m

DAY 3: THE MULE CABIN
Ten minutes from the hotel, a new snowshoe hike. We begin by climbing the Blanche trail with its superb waterfall before arriving at the Rocheclose mountain pasture and its mule hut, witnesses to the history of the Seyne region. The tour continues through mountain pasture areas with successive climbs.

Maximum altitude: 1950 m

DAY 4: THE PARPAILLON VALLEY, STE ANNE LA CONDAMINE
From the Ste Anne resort, the climb through a beautiful larch forest takes us to the Arpillon hut. From there, we descend to the bottom of the very wild valley where wildlife observation is a priority. Mouflons, chamois, and eagles are often within reach of binoculars.

OTHER POSSIBLE HIKES:

THE COUGNETON SUMMIT AND THE CHAUVET PLATEAU
A leisurely day departing from the Chabanon resort. The hike begins along forest trails that lead us to the summit of Cougneton. A beautiful descent takes us to the entrance of the Chauvet plateau for a picnic with breathtaking views of the Écrins. Then, after looping back to the plateau, we return to the resort.

Elevation: 300 m
Walking time: 4 hours
Maximum altitude: 1714 m

THE LAKES OF THE LOW COLLAR
After a chairlift ride to the resort's summit at 2300 m, we leave the atmosphere of the Montclar resort behind to reach the wild valley of Col Bas. A magical atmosphere between mountain pastures and larches with beautiful, joyful descents before returning to the resort for a gentle return. A beautiful day to end this stay.

Elevation: +200 m and - 400 m.
Walking time: 5 hours
Maximum altitude: 2300 m

DAY 5: THE END OF YOUR TRIP
This is the end of your stay, dispersal after breakfast.
A week of wonderful discoveries, mountain atmosphere with high-quality snowshoe outings.
