The Château de Château-Arnoux park is a remarkable natural space of 12 hectares, classified as a "natural site and monument" since 1951. It surrounds the Renaissance castle which houses the town hall of the commune.
Description
The park is famous for its bridle path that connects the Font Robert farm to the castle. Exotic species mingle with Mediterranean and mountain vegetation. The 1,3 km (approximately 20-minute) Park Trail offers the opportunity to discover local flora and fauna. An informational brochure is available at the tourist office.
The Château, built between 1510 and 1530, features a listed spiral staircase and Renaissance decorations (gargoyles, mullioned windows). Guided tours are available upon request from the heritage association.
