At Ruches et collines, Kevin Bidault, a beekeeper and harvester, offers organic honey, produced and harvested in the Alpes de Haute-Provence. During the on-site sale, he will gladly take the time to tell you about his work.
Description
As a professional producer of organic honey, my beekeeping operation is on a human scale, and all the honey sold is harvested and bottled by me in Manosque. The bees, treated with the utmost respect, forage in Provence, in the hills of the Luberon, on the Valensole plateau, or in the mountains of the Haut-Verdon.
Buying "Ruches et Collines" honey means buying honey produced in the Alpes de Haute-Provence (France) in a protected environment. Depending on the season, lavender (IGP Provence and Label Rouge), garrigue (IGP Provence), forest (IGP Provence) or mountain honeys are liquid or creamy.
In 2024, my red label lavender honey was awarded the Gold Medal at the Brignoles Honey Competition. This year, it's still just as good, but I haven't had the time to submit it to the competition!
Honey for sale directly in Manosque. If you're coming, please call ahead as last-minute commitments may arise. I'll take the time to tell you about my bees and my work if you're interested.
