Located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region, at the entrance to the Jabron Valley near Sisteron, my small farm specializes in the production of aromatic and medicinal plants. I offer simple products made with patience and passion.
Description
The plants are grown with respect for nature. A small 50m² greenhouse protects frost-sensitive or fragile species. Water, essential for production, is delivered to the plants' bases by drip irrigation.
The harvests are done by hand in the garden and in the surrounding hills. The plants are then dried on wooden and linen racks, in a dark and well-ventilated room.
All raw materials used for processing (salts, oils, balms, creams) come from organic farming.
We offer simple products, developed with patience and passion, with the aim of enhancing the aromas and properties of plants as closely as possible to traditional uses.
Aromatic and medicinal plants have been used for centuries to treat minor and major ailments, and today we tend to forget this ancestral knowledge.
This is why I have made it my mission to offer you products derived from plants carefully selected for your well-being, in order to help safeguard these simple uses.
The main product of my small farm is hydrosols or floral waters, distilled in a copper still, the old-fashioned way. I also offer balms and maceration oils. Herbal teas, in thematic blends, are also produced throughout the year, as well as aromatics and salts.
Sales at the workshop are by appointment only; there is no shop on site open regularly.
The products of L'Affleur des collines are available in local producers' shops (Sisteron, Peipin) and for direct sale at the Petit Jabron farm (310 route de Noyers in Sisteron).
