Actor and musician Romain Lemire received the 2026 Goncourt Prize for a first novel for "Clément", a moving story published by Cherche-Midi.
Description
Through this testimony, written in the style of a personal diary, he retraces the journey of a child in the 1980s whose innocence is shattered by incest within a seemingly happy family. This book is not merely a story of suffering, but an analysis of the effects of silence on the body, language, and life itself. The program includes a book presentation, a discussion with sociologist Irène Théry, Director of Studies at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS) and specialist in family and filiation issues, and a book signing. A potluck buffet will follow the event: please bring a savory or sweet dish; Le Bleuet will provide the drinks.
