When the young German photographer Hans Silvester arrived in the Camargue in 1958, he fell under the spell of this wild territory and settled there permanently to take photos of pure and luminous nature.

Description

Jean Giono agreed to write a poetic and politically engaged narrative for the publication of the photographs. This out-of-print book has just been reissued by Perles Rares. Come and discover Hans Silvester's photographs and this magnificent book. The program includes: a tour of the exhibition, readings, and a presentation of the book by the Friends of Jean Giono Association. A friendly gathering with refreshments and a potluck buffet will follow the opening: please bring a savory or sweet dish; Le Bleuet will provide the drinks.
