Discover Ode to Joy, the exhibition by Dominique Paulin presented at Hautes Plaines in ManeA journey through large-scale formats, musical performances and artistic heritage, in an exceptional location in Haute-Provence.
Description
Nestled in the heart of the Haute-Provence countryside, this secluded estate is steeped in history. Conceived in the 1970s by Robert Morel, a visionary publisher, and Odette Ducarre, an artist, architect, and creator of the renowned artist's books published by Éditions Robert Morel, it was designed as a space where creativity engages in dialogue with nature, architecture, and the landscape. Today, Les Hautes Plaines reconnects with this vision by hosting artists, exhibitions, and cultural events.
In this preserved setting, Dominique Paulin unveils a series of monumental paintings in vibrant colors. His work invites the visitor to a true sensory immersion where light, texture, and emotions take center stage.
The visit becomes an artistic stroll. The artworks are revealed as you move through the spaces, engaging in a dialogue with the buildings, the gardens, and the unique light of Haute-Provence. Each stop offers a new perspective on both the place and the paintings.
On certain dates, the experience is extended with musical performances bringing together percussionist Joël Grare and musicians Natalia Morozova and Magdalena Geka, creating a lively dialogue between painting, music and landscape.
Whether you are an art lover, a heritage enthusiast or simply curious to discover a rare place, Ode to Joy invites you to live an original cultural experience, where the beauty of the site and the power of the works respond to each other in the same spirit.
An ideal destination to combine artistic discovery, heritage and nature during your stay in Haute-Provence.
