Pochée and Pouce are two happy turtles who share everything. But one day, a stone falls on Pouce's head and Pochée finds herself all alone.
From 6 years old.
Description
She shuts herself in her cabin by the river and, when she isn't sleeping, she writes letters to Thumb, and also reads Thumb's replies. But neither these letters, nor her parents, nor Truc, a snail who has taken refuge in her home, can pull her out of her sorrow. So Pochée sets off through the forest and, little by little, finds a path that suits her.
With infinite delicacy and poetry, Pochée offers a strange journey beyond mourning, an extraordinary fable about happiness.
“Every situation described by Florence Seyvos hits home. Probably because she captures children’s emotions and reactions without ever giving the impression that she is adapting an adult theme for children.” — Libération
