At the crossroads of Cinema, Object Theatre and Puppets, Amandine Lécuyer imagines shows during which she creates live images in front of the public, from assemblages of repurposed objects.
Born in 1997, Amandine obtained her DNA in Spatial Design at the School of Art and Design of Saint-Étienne in 2018, then, curious for new teachings, she joined the Master Space and Communication at the Geneva University of Art and Design.
Amandine defines herself as a creator of moving images; from her imagination come participatory installations and shows centered around the creation of images in view.
Blending her fascination with the devices and special effects of early Cinema and the techniques of Object and Puppet Theatre, Amandine returns to a physical and artisanal time of image creation.
In contrast to our era where Artificial Intelligence, digital technology and the immaterial are redefining our relationship to images, and where the quantity of visual content is increasing, his proposals revalue slow and low-tech mechanisms to allow the public to reappropriate images, and offer them an active, joyful and creative visual experience.
