This is not a requiem

Two slightly shady-looking characters arrive in a car in the square. Their costumes are rumpled, their expressions nervous, and they announce to the audience that the show is cancelled: their stage manager unfortunately couldn't make it. Without him, it's impossible to perform. They apologize awkwardly.

As they leave, a large plastic bag—about the size of a person—slips out of the trunk and crashes to the floor. Silence. Then shock: a body! The stage manager. Their stage manager. They've killed him.

Caught off guard, the two friends try to salvage the situation. They strive to save face, improvise hesitant explanations, and desperately try to extricate themselves, making blunder after blunder. All in vain. But then the unthinkable happens: the body moves. The stage manager wakes up, apologizes for being late, sets up his equipment, and… starts the show as if nothing had happened!
Forced and trapped, the two accomplices must then play. Play against their will.

Between botched assassination attempts, clownish antics, and macabre misunderstandings, they desperately try to get rid of this stage manager… who reappears each time, unperturbed, ready to restart the show
A macabre and joyous farce where clowns desperately try to get rid of an immortal stage manager—the candid embodiment of purity and naivety. Nothing works: he always returns, ready to turn the lights, the sound back on… and their worst nightmares. A comedy of survival where the art of performance becomes a matter of life, death, eternal innocence, and stage management.
