This adventure, spanning over 17 days and 200 kilometers, is recounted in this one-hour documentary that blends close-up shots of the novice hikers, encounters with key figures in the mountain community, and an interview with Nepalese ultra-trail legend Dawa Sherpa.

Gisèle Lafond | 52-minute documentary
From Yellowstone to Alaska, a woman embarks on an adventure to observe the daily life of the grizzly bear…
Passionate and committed, she will set off alone on her first observations of this powerful predator in Yellowstone.
Her approach and experience will then lead her to the Katmai territory in Alaska with Jo, her experienced pilot and guide, in these vast wilderness areas of Katmai where the grizzly reigns supreme.
As the seasons unfold, she will share with us, with respect and humility, her close adventure with the fascinating, powerful, intelligent grizzly bear, endowed with pure elegance.
Each day the grizzly bear will take Gisèle on a quest for deep reflection on what brings them together or separates them…
Who is the grizzly bear? So different from the bear that haunted our childhood dreams? Isn't there a little bit of us in him? Or conversely, a little bit of him in us? We will see a shared glimmer in the exchange of their gazes…
The search for meaning, Life.
This adventure in the footsteps of the grizzly bear is a reflection of a woman in the eyes of this immense predator.
It is the sharing of a story between two beings from the animal world, each in their own way.
Followed by a discussion with Gisèle Lafond, director.
