The company Avec vue sur la mer adapts Mélusine Mellender's book "Les voies de la liberté" into a theatrical performance. Mélissandre Fortumeau and Franckie Delorme passionately and respectfully stage a one-woman show based on her adventures.
Description
June 2010: Mélusine Mallender decides to set off alone on her old 125cc motorcycle to "go as far as possible" eastward. She's told she won't make it past the Paris ring road. Four months later, however, she arrives in Vladivostok, where the Sea of Japan stops her. In her own way, she found in this initiatory journey what she had set out to find: her freedom.
But she returns with many questions about freedom, particularly for women. So she sets off again, to Iran, to Africa, still alone on her motorcycle but this time with a camera...
More than fifty countries crossed, one hundred thousand kilometers, fifteen films and thousands of meetings and interviews later, she recounts the genesis of her quest.
