A brief exploration of 19th and 20th century medicine cabinets.

Description

This new temporary exhibition explores the history of medicines in the 19th and early 20th centuries through objects from the Salagon Museum's collections, shown to the public for the first time. With its vibrant and colorful design, it highlights the diversity of remedies mass-produced at that time by the first pharmaceutical laboratories. In the context of the emerging consumer society, this production was promoted through advertising in newspapers and on posters plastered throughout the streets. Some of these substances are sure to surprise you. Prepare to be amazed!
