Stroll through the village of Entrevaux to discover a medieval fortified city.
Description
Perched proudly on its rocky spur, the medieval town of Entrevaux displays its charms between the Var and the mountains. Dominated by a citadel rising to 650 meters above sea level, a sentinel at the gateway to the Alps, it is the successive work of Richelieu and then Vauban. Sheltered by its ramparts, time seems to have stood still: cobbled streets, medieval houses, a bread oven, and an old baroque-style cathedral tell the story of Entrevaux.
