Nighttime stroll in Mison and stargazing - Other Slopes

We will set up listening and observation points for wildlife (mammals, birds) while waiting for nightfall. Later in the evening, we will observe the beautiful starry sky of this moonless night. You will learn to recognize the main constellations of the autumn sky.

Au programme : Balade facile sur le plateau des Romeyères autour de Mison • Observation de la faune crépusculaire et nocturne, écoute des chants d’oiseaux • Contes et petites histoires sur les animaux qui vivent la nuit (pour les enfants) • Observation du ciel étoilé à l’oeil nu puis au télescope • Identification des principales constellations et apprentissage de la lecture d’une carte du ciel.

Encadrement : Randonnée en groupe (max 13 personnes), encadrée par un accompagnateur en montagne basé à Sisteron. Il vous fournira les éléments techniques et vous fera découvrir l’environnement local. L’itinéraire pourra être modifié en fonction des conditions météo ou de la condition physique des participant.e.s.

Essential equipment: 1 comfortable backpack (20-30L) for your belongings // hiking boots or a pair of sneakers // 1 outfit suitable for walking (breathable and lightweight clothing) // 1 water bottle (1L minimum/person for the outing) // 1 technical waterproof windbreaker (gore-tex type) or a rain jacket // a good sweater for the evening a down jacket or warm jacket your headlamp (can be borrowed if you don't have one) your medical treatment (if you have any).

Optional equipment: your phone or camera, observation binoculars, hiking poles (if you are used to walking with them!)

Difficulty level: Level 1/5. 5 km, 1.5 hours of walking, 100m elevation gain. This walk is suitable for all ages and can be enjoyed by children who are able to walk independently (from 5 years old). The walk will be at a leisurely pace, exclusively on forest paths or well-marked trails. The return will be at night (approx. 20 min), by the light of our headlamps.

Registrations possible until the evening before (20 p.m.), departure guaranteed from 5 registrants.
