5-day All Mountain MTB rally in late June/early July, all on bikes, interspersed with 3 to 4 daily special stages of pure mountain biking.
Allow 30 to 40 km per day for 1100 to 1400m of cumulative elevation gain.

Description

This 5-stage mountain bike adventure, in the spirit of the splendid official route of the eponymous Grande Traversée, will take in a selection of the most beautiful trails in the Upper and Middle Verdon. Concocted by professional riders Greg Noce and Fabrice Crouzet, each stage will offer participants a beautiful day of mountain biking (or electric mountain biking) of 35 km and 1300 m of elevation gain on average.
A daily mountain bike trip in the "All Mountain rally" format interspersed with 3 to 4 daily special stages, timed sections of varying hilly and downhill terrain representing a real interest in terms of fun and on-sight riding. At the start of each timed special, participants will set off one after the other with no set starting order. Those who wish to set off in a group can also do so. With or without a time trial!
Since its inception, fun, sharing, encounters, and discovery have largely dominated the Grand Rallye VTT – TransVerdon. The notion of competition is secondary for a large number of participants. Based on this observation, and for those who might be put off by the notion of "competition," the organizers have introduced a "no time trial" option in 2021, optional and free to check when registering online, to ride "with peace of mind" and not appear in the rankings. The program and courses remain identical in all respects.
