From the parking lot turn left.

2 - After 200 m, take the footbridge to reach the other bank and the 4 Roman columns. You can continue the walk along the Colostre, a flat and shaded path, going up the fitness trail for another 200 m. The return is via the same route.

In the 1st century BC, the Romans settled near the river, at the foot of the hill, and founded their city. Archaeological excavations reveal that at that time, the city stretched across the entire width of the Colostre Valley. Called Julia Augusta Reiorum Appolinaris at the time, it was a strategic road junction linking Aix to Digne, Fréjus to Castellane.

From this period, four monolithic granite columns topped with a carved tablet stand isolated in a meadow. These are the remains of a temple whose honored deity remains unknown.
